Four riders, 9 points between them... Salt Lake City most likely will not identify the CHAMP but someone could easily get booted from the chance of winning the title ... In any event, LV in 2 weeks might just be winner take all ... I'm still riding with RV2 to take the title ... JS7 has won 2 in a row ... he can easily win the last 2 ( even money bet)... Thats ok for RV2 ... he can go 2nd and a 3rd and still be champ if my math is correct ... cr wins both (6:1), best RV2 can do is a tie ... RV2 can win with RD1 winning both(8:1) and 2 2nd place finishes .... Best for RV2 is for js7 to show up and follow him to a 2nd place finish && not let cr pull a cheap shot on him ( attempted cheap shot - 3:1 , successful cheap shot - (7:1) )... If you see RV2 before SLC, pass all this on to him ... But by watching his racing season so far, I think he already knows ... TC being out really reduces what can happen here as he was capable of beating all these guys and tossing a real monkey wrench into this battle ... Happy Easter to all 1 2 Ryan Villopoto Seattle, WA, USA 293 2 22 Chad Reed Dade City, FL, USA 287 3 1 Ryan Dungey Belle Plaine, MN, USA 286 4 7 James Stewart Haines City, FL, USA 284 4/30/2011 -- Rice-Eccles Stadium -- Salt Lake City 5/7/2011 -- Sam Boyd Stadium -- Las Vegas
definitely in the range of the possible...Villapoto and Stewart still have lawn dart capacity and Reed is overdue for a mediocre start...just sayin...
RD is my close second choice if RV2 fails ... He's been a class act for 2yrs now in the 450s and more consistent than any of the riders ... Without the broke chain .... he sits on top but we know U can't go back and change any one event and expect the entire season to play out the same .. same as with RV not making one of the mains ...
I'd like to see Dungey win but they're all pretty good for MX, notwithstanding JS recent legal incident. Two riders coming back from injury. One a privateer or sorts. One defending
Pourcel is rumored to be back for the mx season on a geico honda ... I can't see him being better than a top 5 rider at best , being his rookie season on a 450 ... RV2 should let in all hang out during the outdoors ...
l..l, rock on man!! me and my son got to go to st louis and we had a blast. hope you have a good time!! kinda erks ya when you pay $135 for $35 face value tix though....
I already know who won the season. We all did. Things are much more interesting this year with so many being able to win the season.
Husky is running in EU in the MX2 class currently ... They are probably using this as a stepping stone for riding in the usa in the coming yrs depending on the success over there... bmw seems committed to racing Huskies ... all the bikes really need is a top rider and a some tweeks ...The 449 bikes are winning in SM racing over there ... Guys are winning all over in enduro type racing on the TE \ TXC\ TC models... Absolutely no reason other than the rider for a Husky not to do well in sx/mx racing in the states ... Watch the FIM Glen Helens race when it comes around this year May 7th or so ... Husky will be there ... We should get some camera time and a top 10 or so ...
sounds good, ill definately be watching for that! who do you think would be a good fit for husky? how much do they want to dump on a rider enough to compete with the jap mfg's?
I'm not sure on a rider but most of the riders have short contracts I think (1-2-3 yrs) and they are just employees ... bmw has the bucks to hire Poto or any one else if want to ... bring rc back and let him ride a Husky ...
i would liek to see them get a big name or two then mayeb a cpl up n comers. ken roczen (ktm) and matt lemoine (kaw). both are pretty fast but have had a cpl bad luck incidents....ya its easy to put together teams on here hahaha heck well snag decoster away from ktm aswell lol
Im backing Reed in to win, his Aussie fighting spirit will see him put it all on the line to beat the others, JS7 to crash his way out, RV not quick enough for Reed, RD just not quick enough unless the rest all crash out! 2012 full blown AMA Husky team - bring it on! Get Jeff Herlings to ride in lites, and RC in open class!
i think KDUB has a chance to win the race if its all rutted and nasty like they are callin for, he seems to be able to handle those conditions pretty good.
js7 might just now be getting it all back together after his long lay-off ... He's still a risk to crash but I don't think so at this point ... He wins, RV2 is second ... 3rd is a toss up .... RD1 or cr ..
