Nothing uber special but would work well for those looking to just replace their rear rack for something much stronger... http://www.nomadic-racks.com/index....id=62#!/~/product/category=976078&id=27910902
Nice, simple design. But I don't know if I would trust that spacer/long bolt setup for holding up a Rotopax for long.
wow, dunno' i kinda' like this, especially at that price! Could see it with throw overs, wander how easy it will be fitting with some of the hard frame options? Like the line and the way it sits on the bike.
Dang I really like this except for the lack of grab handles. I use mine a lot rolling my bike out of the garage or bike barn. They say use it as a grab handle, but I dont see where you grab it.
Exactly. I'm constantly grabbing the handles to scooch it around the garage. If I went with the Nomad, I would have some handles welded onto it, and then re-anodized. OR another option http://www.ktm-parts.com/650-7521-01-01-p-HUSQTR650.html
I bought the one shown above. I like it alright I reckon. The fit & finish were great. Plenty of places to hook stuff to. The handle looking bracket can be left off...it's for helping secure a hepco Becker topbox.
I can confirm that is the H-B topbox mount. Identical to the one my wife bought but never uses any more.
The following pics came from Trapperj. Thanks! Looks like a nice rack. So is the rear flat portion metal or plastic?
The flat portion that "clicks" into place is plastic. Prettys things up a bit I reckon but if not always covered with a bag I'd be afraid it'd blow off....although it hasn't happened ao far.
Is all the rest of it metal, then? Including the part with side 'handles' and strap attachment points?
I received my Nomadic rack today. Nicely done piece of hardware. It came with stainless steel bolts and spacers to use in mounting it up. I had to play around with spacer combinations a bit because I was installing it on the Husqvarna side case racks. The holes predrilled for the Rotopax are where they are probably to allow seat removal with the can installed and not take up any seat space if there is a passenger. If I were to use it for the Rotopax I think I would drill another hole farther forward and get the can closer to the rearmost rack bolts. Not that there is much chance of this thing bending. I won't be worrying about the rear rack any longer.
