Endurocross results Graffunder 3rd overall. Ran 2nd for most of race. Got held up by lapper on next to last lap and was passed by Aaron. Won his heat race going away over Brown. Sutherlin qualified and finished 10th. Great night for husky. Corey ran with Taddy for first 4 laps. Bikes got great starts. Better things still to come.
Awesome! Thanks so much. I was in Myrtle Beach celebrating the wife's Birthday (one hour away). She wouldn't fall for my story that the Endurocross would be MUCH more fun than the nasty old beach...
Here is a good video, except the pauses every 3 seconds. Hopefully they re edit it soon.http://shotmakerproductions.com/2009/09/13/endurocross-florence-sc-webshow/comment-page-1/#comment-209
Awesome video! Let the video start then hit pause, and come back in a few minutes - it will queue up on your computer with no pauses.
There must be something wrong with my computer then The sound is not pausing only the video. I waited till it was fully loaded and it still does it.
Great video, and a Husky on the podium! Can't wait for the indoor enduro world cup round in Sheffield (keep checking the ticket just to make sure I haven't lost it ). BTW, had no problem playing it - just ran straight through with no pauses even though I didn't wait for it all to download first.
FLORENCE, SC (September 12, 2009) – KTM’s Taddy Blazusiak took his third EnduroCross main event win in a row tonight over 10 time National Trials champion, Geoff Aaron. Aaron was riding a two wheel drive Christini KTM. Zip-Ty Husquvarna mounted Cory Graffunder rounded out the podium for his second EnduroCross main event in a row. The day started with Taddy Blazusiak setting the fastest lap time during the afternoon qualifying session, which puts the riders on the track by themselves for a single hot lap to determine heat race starting positions. Mike Brown on the Muscle Milk backed KTM took second followed by Geoff Aaron, Lucas Oil backed Colton Haaker and Cory Graffunder. After several exciting qualifying races filled the eleven rider main event, it was Aaron that touched the first 35 inch sequoia ahead of the pack to collect the $500 Girardi wealth management holeshot award but he immediately got stock on that same log and was forced to work his way back into a podium position. Graffunder, the Canadian off-road warrior stayed very close to Blazusiak for the first half of the main and seemed to be faster in some sections and quickly closed in any time Taddy made any kind of bobble. Graffunder ultimately made his own mistake and stalled his bike to allow Aaron past for second. Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Damon Huffman worked his way into forth position after a tough first lap that found him near the back of the pack. Colton Haaker rounded out the top five. Shane Watts, the former GNCC champion made a valiant effort to at EnduroCross but ultimately missed making the main while Ricky Dietrich, the 2009 EnduroCross champion sat out this event to allow his broken foot to recover. I'll assume that is a completely different Euro series, here is what is listed on the endurocross.com site: I too think EnduroCross may be the up and coming thing, a few years ago luck seemed to have more to do with how people did than talent. Now the tracks seem much more predictable... or maybe I understand it better because I've seen a race in person...

Hey Monster Energy is a big sponsor of CH team Husqvarna and Zip-Ty...... Hmmmmm.... Knight had Redbull and took that sponsor with him from KTM to BMW and then to Kawasaki. Interesting. JustSayen BlipBlip
Just to clear up, Monster does not sponsor our Zip Ty racing team but I believe they do sponsor the CH Team.
My apology... what i meant was Zip-Ty is also listed as a sponsor of Ricky Dietrich racing. You know it's has to do with dots. BlipBlip
Masters Race One of the best races of the night was the masters event. After a slow start (and finish) Charley Williams who never stood up the entire race, slowly took the checkers. He looked to be 60+, but was probably only a very unhealthy 40+ rider. As soon as he finished he parked his bike and had to rest before going to the podium. Healthy or unhealthy, the dude was there, raced and won! Good job Charley. WR Bob
