My Terra tail fender snapped a couple months back. The dealer has been in touch with Husky for a number of replacement parts (which, apparently, will all be covered under warranty). Today I learned that the only part the dealer is now waiting for is a tail light. But when they contacted Husky they said they were completely out of replacement parts and had no timetable for when new parts would arrive from the third-party manufacturer. Again, this is after waiting two solid months already. I get the sense the dealer is doing what they can and it's Husky that has screwed up big time. Anyone having any issues like this? Any suggestions on how to get it solved? I'm now entering my third month of not being able to legally ride my Terra. Fruuuuuuuuuustrating.
YES. broke my clutch perch and hose off at the fitting. Received the perch but couldn't get an availability date on the hose, after a few weeks I had one made. Might think about making something custom?
I was looking at my Terra sitting next to my TE511 and from the back the taillights look identical. Might be an option. I'm guessing there are going to be a lot of holes in parts while the transition happens. Call the bigger shops like Halls and Bills and see if they have anything.
Just checked, it does appear that the rear light assembly is 'dumb' based on the schematic. Though there might have been a cpu in it. Apparently there is the cpu in the dash, the main ECU, a diagnostic connector, and some type of pull up resister as far as communications go - but the lights in tail assembly seem like low tech switches.
It took a month for me to get my rear fender. Logic dictates that is a commonly broken item, so it will be in super high demand.
I just got a set of fork guards in two weeks from day of order. I guess it depends on what you're looking for.
I bought my Terra in February and it did not have a spare key. I ordered two and they still have not arrived and there is no indication of when they will. I will be in a world of hurt if I lose the only key I have.
Saying three months is pretty much admitting that they have no idea how long it will take to get a key - (or maybe they don't know HOW to get a key at this point....)
I get all sorts of communications for all sorts of reasons. My impression is that the parts issue is getting better.
