I shaved about 1/2-3/4 inch off my 300 seat and I don't really think it made the seat any harder (and lowered the suspension 1/2" If I remember right). Just wondering if the actual low seat for the 125 is like sitting on a 2x4 or not? I like the extra confidence of totally flat footing while sitting on the bike.

I could go with some guts racing foam but there again not sure how the "stock""medium" and "soft" compair to the stock seat. I'd guess on the "soft" my big but would sink in an extra 3/4" or so but not sure.
Any info would be much appreciated!

I got a lower seat from my local dealer for my daughters cr125 it is 35mm lower and it works well for her, I didnt want to cut the origional seat as when she is moves onto a newer one in a couple of years I will keep this bike for myself and I prefer the higher seat.
Here is a couple of pics the dip in the seat is not to badand still keeps the bikes profile, the second one is holding the origional seat.

Yeah thanks for the reply! Looks like a mini step seat almost. That looks like what I'm after but is it rock hard or do you think its the same feel as stock? Thanks again

I just received my Husky Low Seat (8000H2442) from Bill's yesterday. Although it's advertised as -35mm from stock height, it is more like -20mm. I haven't ridden with it yet, but just sitting on it in the garage (for ~20 minutes) it doesn't feel harder than the stock seat. Hoping to ride this Saturday or Sunday, and see what the butt durometer sez.

I'm 5'-7" w/ a 30" inseam, and want to be flat-footed too. With rear sag set at 102mm (31mm free sag), I'm still slightly on my toes with the low seat. I've already decided to have my suspension revalved and lowered 1" or so when it's time to have the forks and shock serviced.

The lower seat feels the same firmness as the origional.

My factory 1inch lower seat is way harder than the stock seat on my x-light I ride mostly sitting down so the lower seat does not work for me. Don't know if it is the same as the 125 or not.

I put the 35mm lower seat on my 2014 cr125 the other day and after riding a couple 20 min moto's i can say it feels just like the stock one just a little lower. It's good for motocross because it gives more clearance between your but and the seat witch in the woops makes a difference. I'm only 5' tall so i cant touch the ground anyway, so i cant tell you the benefits of being able to put your feet on the ground. But i'm glad i spent the money.
