I'm looking to get the Te250 12 hole injector and ECU, I was told I need to use Ibeat after it is installed. Ii was wondering if there was anybody near Niagara Falls Canada that has an Ibeat and would be willing to help me out? Thanks Gary
Howdy neighbour! I'm in St. Catharines and have iBeat. Let me know when you get your parts and I'd be happy to help. Cheers, Andrew
I am also in st. catharines haha. I've got it ordered so in a couple weeks i'll message you and we can meet. Thanks alot Andrew
12 hole injector and ecu are installed. Just waiting to reset the tps with ibeat and then I will give a good review on the upgrade.
I haven't been able to go for a good ride yet. But I did get out for 2 hours in wet conditions. Initial impressions are not so good. The bike doesn't seem to want to idle now, the idle is constantly hunting and the bike keeps stalling. While riding the low end does seem improved, but not as dramatically as everyone else claims. I will get more seat time and see if my impressions change. I definitely think some ibeat time is necessary
Don't forget that we left all your CO's at 100, so some tweaking will definitely be needed. The idle hunting was strange. I would say we could look at it tomorrow, but we're likely headed to Majestic Trails in Pennsylvania. Maybe during the week if you want? If not, next weekend.
Pennsylvania sounds fun. I hope its a good time with no hickups. I got a really good ride in today and my initial impressions were very wrong. I kept trying to stall it today but it kept on lugging along. It doesn't lug like an old air cooled 250 but I never expected this bike to. It now runs the way its should have from the factory. The power delivery seems alot more linear and easy to control. It just has more power everywhere. my idle still sucks and does not get better when the bike is warm. I would like to play with ibeat to try and resolve this, but I am going to be heading up north for a bit to do some autumn riding. So I will give you a call Andrew, when I get back. And maybe we can get out for that ever elusive ride
Pennsylvania was a blast! It was well worth the 2+ hour trip. Lot's of bikes and quads, but it's so big you hardly see anyone while you're on the trails. Very few flat spots, almost all up and down hills. Well maintained and none of the greasy clay we get around here. It even has a small motocross track to zip around on. I look forward to the ride. Hopefully things will dry up around here by then. Enjoy your time up north!
