    1994 Huskvarna WXE/WXC250 or CR/WR
    Hi,
I have a 94 husky WXC 250 by the looks of things,
    engine plate reads: STROKE 70.8
    HUSQVARNA 5A
    9100152

But how can I be sure?
The shop thinks it's a CR250 due to the ohlins rear shock.
Did we just call them CR/WR, and WRE 250's here in Australia?
and WXC,WXE etc. in other countries?
I know my 95model (rare factory fluro red/orange not the normal yellow) was a WRE here.

Do parts like: Piston, Crank, Rod, Bearings, etc that fit 92-96 husky 001.JPG husky 003.JPG husky 004.JPG View attachment 47653 View attachment 47653 CR/WR also fit WXE/WXC?,
my piston is a wiseco 699M0700 (or 699M for short)
that shows as being for 92-96 WXE/WXC,
I saw it on Euro sites for the CR/WR also,

I read that they came out with a Wossner Piston stock?
The only Wossners I can find are for CR/WR 250's,
The only Rod kit has been for WR250,
    etc.

    Do the parts all inter-change?
    Cheers.

I would guess that is a 1992 CR 250. It has the CR ignition and a 1992 swingarm.

    Thank a lot for that.
It has the motoplat igniton if that helps,
It doesn't have any lights or brake switch connections on the master cylinder for the brake lights,
The ohlins shock points that way too, (CR's had them)

Does anyone know where to get crank bearings, and other parts to do a rebuild on these?
I have a 95 CR250 crank coming, will probably put a rod kit in,
and need the waterpump, and powervalve bearings too. (in the case).
It's sleeved so will go 0.5mm over,
Don't know whether to get a Wossner or a Wiseco Piston,
But a mate is gonna split the cases and do the rod, + Crank bearings.
If I go a KTM rod, are the big and small end bearings correct for these?
And where can machine the 1.7mm off the crank pin?

    Cheers.

Does anyone have pics of the Fluro Red/Orange 95's I only ever see the yellow.

Well you can buy 2015 model bikes now and it still 2014,so yes it was probably built in 1991. I think production on the next years models usually starts in June to have stuff to the market by sept/oct.

    Ok thanks.
    I got some prices and for: 92 CR,WR etc (should fit: WXE,WXC WMX,CR,WR 250 92-96)
    Piston and rings etc,
    top end gasket kit,
    + small end bearing.

there is a kit for $325AU,

I found it all for less than $280 by shopping around,
With A Wossner or A Wiseco piston (Wiseco would take longer due to shipping from US)
and $40 more for full gasket kit.

There is a Hot rod kit for the KTM's sx 250's (that was mentioned fit the husky's) for about $130AU.
Also bought a Crank for $55.
    There are some prices , [Would be cheaper in US due to shipping}
that may be usefull for some people considering a rebuild.

    Cheers

The crank bearings are pretty common I crossed them over to a bombardier snowmachine bearing and they ran about 11$ each for the actual crank bearing and about 6$ for a regular one which you have to pop the seals out of

Most bearings across your bike will be a STD size bearing so try your local bearing supplier first.

Not sure on the brand but I get them at a local shop but the more expensive are true crank bearings and I have had no problems with them in anything I've put them in

    Thanks,
I got another engine, with a freshly re-coated cylinder, new piston rings, rod bearings, etc.
It is the pipe into head style exhaust,
while my old one was a sleeve into pipe style,
Would that make it (the old one) a 92 motor?

Anyway the ignition on the new motor is different (kokusan) so I will be getting a new CDI and coil too. Meaning 95 or later?
Interestingly the swingarm bolt hole in the back of the new motor is larger and is slightly wider so will need to get a sleeve.

Not sure if I will rebuild the other 92 CR 250 motor or part it out.
It has a stock size sleeved bore, and a motoplat ignition that works.
+ a replacement Crank (needs rod kit , but other one is good crank broke off at flywheel bolt+ piston)
I took the clutch and clutch rod for the new motor.
Looks like a new waterpump impeller on it.
If there is much interest I will likely part it.
    Cheers
