Are the TE and SMR frames different?

I'm wondering if the TE570 frame is different than the SM570R frame. I just swapped the SMR triple clamps onto my TE and there is a noticeable reduction in turning radius. The stop points on the SMR clamps are much closer together than the TE clamps. I'm wondering if this is normal or if I should modify the stop block on my frame.

I think the triple clamps are different. Not sure about the frames.

Yea, SMR triples are 10mm wider. Still curious about the frame.
