• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Finally worked up to installing Rekluse Z start pro. Smooth going until i was finishing the pressure plate. 4 of the Torx screw sheared off 2mm below the head! Torque wrench set to 25 ft-lbs as directed.

Call Rekluse on Monday to see if i can get another lower assembly. Dang, so close to being done!http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/images/smilies/banghead.gif

Oh noes! Yeah, those are tiny screws. Those get about 4 or 5 foot pounds. 25 ft pounds is for the big nut that goes on the shock absorber shaft and stuff like that.

You may be able to remove them with a small screw extractor bit. Just be careful to keep the drill bit centered so you don't ruin the clutch threads.

Are you a butcher by trade (sorry).. Best tool to use to remove what's left would be a "Micro-DRILL-OUT®" in "M4 Size" (not easy to find in micro sizes)..
To help a Husky brother (or sister out) in the time of need.. PM me your address and I'll send you one for FREE (but please be careful when using or find
someone with a more delicate touch to help you).. You'll have to order new bolts from Rekluse though.. Hope that helps.. Now try and enjoy the rest of
your weekend.. Cheers..

I know it sucks, but everybody makes mistakes. You can put enough torque on a screw that size with a hand screw driver type Torx bit driver. Even twist them off if you're ham fisted enough.

Live, learn, move on.
