Come here a lot, post very little but I've got a quick question. Did an extensive search but came up empty. 2007 610. Anyone know if the arrows on the clutch basket have any significance? Like an idiot I didn't pay attention when it came apart. 'preciate any help. Dave
I noticed this yesterday when pulling mine it didn't seem to be anything at the time. Info would be good. I thought I would figure it out putting it back together. Pregrid you have yours out for spring cups?
Nothing. Only thing I've been told is to keep the plates stacked and oriented as they were in the basket. Don't mix them up.
I have an idea could it be for showing 12:00. Pointing up and 6:00 down for adjusting the center screw ?
BTW is the center screw adjuster for the pushrod done with feeler gauge between the plates if so whatsize
I cant think of any significant reason it would be anything to worry about. Good question / observation though.
I have always thought the adjustable push rods were to compensate for push rod wear. I have also used the adjustment to help with Rekluse set ups. Good question about the disc gap at full release. I don't know what the factory spec is, but Rekluse recommends .035" to under .050" for the Z Start Pro.
Any marks on pressure plate that could line up? I have seen on a bike before (can't remember what now lol) but some of the spinning parts that bolted together had marks to line back up because they were balanced. I'm sure this isn't the case just throwing out one of the many weird things I have seen.
I have had my clutch in and out several times and never worried about the orientation of the arrows. My clutch works just find after several thousand miles.
