Are the axles painted or specially coated with something? I've only dealt with aluminum axles on other brands. The reason I ask is I noticed some pitting and rust spot on mine. If they are painted what paint are u guys using? Thanks, Tim.
Paint? I just use a light film of waterproof grease, clean and reapply whenever I remove the axles. I would think paint would just scratch off everytime you re-install them and cause them to bind up and make them harder to removed.
