• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Alright, I'm being a bit anal.....
Does anyone out there have blue backgrounds on their red/white Husky? Seems like a stupid question, but our series has A riders running blue backgrounds, and it just seems to be really an ugly thing to do to a mostly red/black/white bike. It's not like it will be like the flag. Just doesn't seem to work for me. I'd like to see a picture of someone with this combo, 'cause I can't wrap my mind around it.

Ahhhh, yes. I see.
The added red above the blue background leading to the radiator shroud really helps. I had imagined either a giant blue side, or what you have surrounded by white, which I couldn't imagine liking. Maybe it looks fine, but in my mind it doesn't. Thank you.

Our blue is more like a YZ blue, not the light blue. We also have white numbers. I guess I'm too style conscious, I would have preferred yellow numbers like the worcs guys. But then again, that's probably why they didn't do it. Ah well. I guess I could just go faster and ride AA so I could run red backgrounds.......

Our organization runs as follows: C classes green backgrounds, B is yellow, A (AA) is red, Age classes (such as senior etc.) is blue. We are supposed to have black numbers, but I just had mine outlined in black.

I'm running blue backgrounds on my red Honda CRF450X. It's not a Husky but it will give you an idea how it might look. I belong to a private dirt bike club and we have to use blue number backgrounds. :D

The Honda looks good with the blue backgrounds. I think I'll be fine. I ended up going to decal mx and doing a graphics kit and backgrounds. They were the Delux style, so there is highlights around a normal sized blue background.
