I scored a BD dual 8" hid setup. Now I need to get my 07 te450 stator rewound by BD. Besides the regulator/recitifier are there any other things I need to think of? My only experience is with halogens.

    Thanks in advance, Mike

    - edited. I thought I read halogen. That thing will be a flame thrower.

We'll have to see some pics when you have them up and running.
Should give you a fairly good panoramic of light

The guy you are passing who just turned around for a quick look is now blind.

Aliens on other planets are monitoring your average speed.

Various desert animals just came out of hybernation.

Dual 8 inch HID are now sort of considered 'overkill' at the Baja 1000. They are heavy, and put out so much light that they create a mini 'white out' effect from so much blue light. We all raced with them for a few years, but most racers now prefer to have smaller HIDs for weight savings, and a more 'yellow' light with either a hybrid halogen/HID, etc.

Not dissing the lights at all. Just saying they are so hard core that even the fastest guys cant out run them. :)

To save weight/improve light color, you can always retrofit one light with 100watt halogen and a electrosport stator.

Some work on your front brake line routing is probably your only issue. enjoy. I ran dual BD HID's on my baja race bike Huskys--they never let me down.
