Check it out, PN 059072 (about $60) installed on my 2009 WR125. Some cutting required but it looks good. Is this the taillight I read about getting moisture in and failing? Everything looks pretty well sealed to me.

It's not as well sealed as it looks. I've replaced the light assembly on mine because of corrosion. On the lighter side though, at least it's not expensive. I was thinking about ordering another one just to have a spare because even though they are pretty reasonable they don't ship all that fast.

Cool...I trail tested it yesterday in some greasy NC red clay-no problems. Does it need any kind of sealing or maybe the lens taken off to dry after washing?

Mine failed after a few rides in wet muddy condition. Baja Designs sent me a replacement, which I used clear 100% silicone to seal around the wire grommet and the edge of the clear lens where it's glued to the back plate.

    I haven't had a problem since then.

    Got it, thanks!
  7. I've used 3 of them, when the third burnt out I replaced the LED with a Whellen emergency strobe LED, way brighter and has been on my '05 for years with no issues although you have use a resistor to dim the light for your running light. I just installed the same setup (BD dropdown and Wheelen LED) on my '09 TE. Maybe I just tend to abuse things because I have friends that have used the BD LED without issue for years but if it does crap out on you the emergency LED's are about the same price and much, much brighter. I did get pulled over at night once with the setup, the cop said he couldn't see my plate (too much angle on the dropdown), he said he didnt know if it was legal or not and then said goodnight without even checking my liscense, insurance, etc...
