Recently widowed lady opened her garage to me last week to help decide what to do with her deceased husband's motorcycles and stuff. He was an avid Enduro rider in the SouthEast US, and passed away unexpectedly 5 years ago.
Amongst the bikes were a 1971 Yamaha 650 chopper (old school hard tail), 1973 RD350, 1974 Yamaha TY250, 1978 XS650SF, 2015 Husky 300TE (which he bought just months before he passed away),
    and THIS 1980 (I think) Husky 390WR.
Has a NOS rear fender (never installed-no taillight), extra gas tank, and the original owner's manual and Husqvarna MX Training Guide booklet!! IMG_3889.jpg IMG_3892.jpg IMG_3891.jpg IMG_3894.jpg

Anyway, I am trying to help her empty the garage. I wanted to, first, confirm this is a 1980 and second get an idea of parts availability and what to look for in restoration.
Any comments or suggestions are welcome.

Bill was from Decatur Georgia. That's part of the Atlanta area, just east of downtown. He was very active in SETRA and the Georgia Crackers MC.

yes, by the frame number it is 1980 390 WR - the first four motor numbers should be 2084

Rear fender is not the correct one, rear fender is for the 1975-79 models

Yes I know...but it will work since the original fender is not to be found.
Carb clean and fresh fuel and she runs !!!
    Needs a lot of TLC.
Here's a photo of the part number sticker on the underside of the fender. "Made in England" !!
Can't really make out the numbers on the photo, unfortunately

I have the Correct Rear fenders in stock, why would you want to put an incorrect fender on your bike? The 1980 frame is not made for that fender.

Well...it came with the bike...and the bike now belongs to another.
I was simply helping the widow clean out her husbands stuff.
I'll tell the new owner to join the forum. Thanks for the input.
Do you have a web site I should direct him to? I know he is looking for some other bits as well...he has a bunch of bikes, including other Huskys
