I got my Terra just a few days ago, first time off road with it and I hit a pothole in a dirt road, bent the handlebars pretty bad. Now I'm looking for a replacement/upgrade. Not sure where to look or what size.

Top right hand corner under search... type in... handle bars, fat bars, bar risers. etc.
Everything under the sun about bars will pop up for ya...lots of reading.

Personally I like the bend and sweep of the OEM Magura bars that came on my TE310. They were okay as delivered, but after adding the Highway Dirt Bikes upper and lower clamps necessary to install their hand guards, the additional height made them perfect for me. Very comfortable riding position.

7/8" - Anything after that will be personal preference

The OEM bars have this skinny piece at the end that is threaded inside for the end caps. Their wielded onto the bars, what could I do to remount the end caps if I get aftermarket bars?

Do you want to remount the bar weights, or fit hand guards? Bark busters and other hand guards will sell an expanding piece that goes in the hollow end. You should be able to just buy this expanding piece as a separate part

I'm not to sure what the stock dimensions are, I would like maybe a little narrower and taller. Certainly something stronger than stock, what do you think I should look for? I've never shopped for handlebars before.

I found a set of braced bars on ebay for a pretty low price, I'll give those a try. If anything happens to them then I think I'll try some fat bars. For now i just want to be able to ride it again.

My stock bars got tweaked in an offroad drop as well. I will likely go with protaper 7/8"s with a high bend.

I didn't even drop the bike, I just pushed down on the handlebars. I'm really surprised they bent like that I'm not a very big guy.

I personally would go with fatbars (1.125") and handguards for a more bulletproof setup on a 400 pound machine.

That's what I'd like to do, I just can't find fat bar mounts anywhere.

7/8" bar aren't worth keeping on that beast. Like Kelly has stated...400lbs
Puts some fatties on there you wouldn't be sorry.

What would be my best source for some mounts for fat bars? I've already asked Kelly about the Motorsportz mounts and he said he's out of them. I'm not sure if their just universal or if I need a certain size.

Basic adapters are available on eBay or amazon. They will raise the bars roughly 3/4 of an inch. Make sure you are buying the correct item since there are lots of choices.

Looks like highway dirt bikes has the lower clamps, only thing is they ask if the bolts are 10 or 12mm, the outside diameter of the bolts is 8mm. Or are they just talking about the bolt head? The stock ones are star bits.

Jon, there's a bit of info starting on page 4 http://www.cafehusky.com/threads/650-terra-farkles.28445/page-4

A lot of people seem to like the Rox Risers. Going from 7/8 to 1 1/8 is no problem. The kind of adapter/risers that fit into the bottom portion of the clamps and transition won't work because the lower half of the mount isn't level. These are the one's that won't work...[IMG]

I just ordered the HDB 1 1/8" kit with guards, bars, top and bottom clamps. I selected the 1 3/4" bottom clamps, it says 10mm bolts, guess I'll find out when I get them if it will work.
