Well it's still winter time here and we are supposed to get another 8-12 inches of snow in the next two days so I'm not going to be riding for a little while. Im always curious to know about new tires and tires combos. Im from North West Maryland and ride in WV and PA as well. My best tire combo I've found is a Pirelli MT16 on the rear at about 10 PSI and a MX51f on the front at varying PSI. Let me know what you like and what you have found work best. Btw, has anyone ever tried the Maxxis EN tires? or the kenda tires?

I haven't tried an MT16 yet but one will showing up on my doorstep today. A lot of people seem to like them from all accounts. It'll replace the
Kenda Southwick (soft terrain) which was ok for a while but didn't last as long as I had hoped. Haven't tried Maxxis. I really like the IRC M5B rear.
    Great winter tire.

I like that tire a lot too. If you like the 404/M59 combo you might love the Motoz Enduro IT. IMHO they work a lot like that combo but last longer and the rear might even hook up better. I'm not trying to sell tires, in fact you might get a better deal cuz of shipping from some of the east coast Motoz dealers, just letting people know these are very similar tires.

I used to have the M59 but didn't like it that much. that may have been bike set up though. I swapped it out for a MX51 and think it's better on the harder terrain.

I liked them in NW slop ,clay, loam etc. so different stuff. Tires are always hard to discuss, so many variables. Asking local is always best.

I ride in MD, PA, WV, and OH mostly. The 606's are pretty good. I also like the MT16's. I ride the blacktop inbetween trails and it seems like the MT 16 is better for off roading and the 606 is just an all around good tire. I have a set of motoz that I'm going to try out next on my 13 310 when the new rubber is old.

im going to have to try the motoz sometime. Do you think the 310 will handle a 120 in the rear? as i really prefer a 120 off road and a 110 on the mx track

The MT 16 is very heavy. Love the way it hooks up but am not at all impressed with the durability. We run Kenda Triples a lot, as well as the Washougal. The triple lasts longer. Have a couple of Milvilles here to try as well...the Washougal is an awesome front tire as well.....snow, snow go away...

yes. I prefer the smaller ones but it should have no issues with the 120. I am running the 110/19 on my 165 as they only make the IT in a 250 sized 19" and it is a little to big but has been giving me amazing traction on the nasty slick clay based hills around here.
