BLOWN UP 610 :(

Buddy had this 2005 610 sm for the summer and rod bearing went out and did some damage..dealer wants 3800$ to fix motor, i cant find a used motor anywhere.

Any ideas? part it out? get parts from dealer?
needs rod, bearings, piston, crank, and then some...

seems hard to find used parts for these things.
any help much appreciated!

Call whatever dealer you want, order parts, fix bike.

I have a comlete 610 motor with about 1500 km on it.

$3800 sounds a bit much.

Should be able to do a LOT better.

Where are you located?

How did this happened btw? Haven't heard many problems like this in 610s motors..

My 630, with about 20.000kms on the clock started a ticking noise coming from the lower reaches and has been diagnosed with a duff con rod bearing. Repair´s going to be expensive.

If you are going to part it out, let me know, i'm interested in the cdi.
