I busted my front right turn signal housing. Do you guys know if anything from BMW is a direct replacement? It would be great if I can just run down to the local BMW dealer and pick one up rather than having to order it. While I didn't see turn signals mentioned on the big interchange list posted on advrider.com, I walked by an F700GS today during lunch, and its turn signal looked mighty similar. My bike was not on hand to compare them directly, though.
Looks like its the same as on the BMW RnineT Husky PN = 8534356 BMW PN = 63 13 8534356 http://parts.bmwmcjax.com/a/BMW__/62788835__6213138/Turn-signals--front/63_1521.html
Good find Ogre_fi. I think it's been previously discovered, that if you search for the TR650 part number and "BMW" you will find similarly numbered parts for BMW bikes. BMW share a lot of parts between models and the TR650s were built by picking parts out of the same parts bins to keep the price down.
Was in a BMW shop the other day. Turn signals on a bunch of their bikes looked identical. Radiator on something looked the same too. Can't remember which bike. F800 maybe. Same crappy plastic unit.
Who the hell wants indicators on Barkbusters, dooohhh (or as Aussies would say: as usefull as tits on a bull) Nothing much schmick about a lazy 100 bux worth of rooted plastic bezel with some torn wiring and frazzled LED sockets dangling in the breeze after the first drop or kiss of the garage wall. Up yours, TouraTech, though http://www.twistedthrottle.com/bark...ts-for-jet-storm-vps-plastic-handguards-amber
In my experience bark busters far, far outlast turn signal stocks. I'm eventually going to get some bark buster mounted signals when I stop throwing away money on other bits I don't need but must have. SW-Motech has a really neat set. They aren't cheap but are listed as working on our TRs.
I didn't need any resistors installing my LED Rizoma turn signals, it might be worth a try to just fit the barkbusters turn signals without resistors first which might save you some money.
The Rizoma LED signals have the resistors integrated into their wiring!! http://www.motorcycle-store.de/rizo...Blinker-LED-Action-schwarz-mit-ABE::1740.html If LED turn signals are wired in parallel to the the OEM units, no resistors are needed....if they replace the OEM units, resistors (or LED flasher relay) are required.
I like the look and fit of the new LED blinkers on the >2010 GS1200's. I bet they'd fit our TR's and kinder on the dash as it handles the flashers. But at >$100/pair, nup. Anyone seen a Chinese knock-off for reasonable dough?
