During a 5 day camp/ride, i had an issue with the gas in my tank boiling. I made a nasty hill climb 3 times back to back. Temps were in the mid 90's in north eastern washington. After i got to the top the 3rd time i heard a little bubbling coming from between my legs. Vent could not vent the boiling gas fast enough. Took the gas lid off and air rushed out. Took a while for the gas to stop boiling, and did not have the issue again during the trip. This is the 2nd time this has happened to me. Both times were in the same weather conditions. First time was in some tight woods riding. I think i am going to get some heat shield for the section of the tank that is above the exhaust, and wrap the back half of the header. Has anyone else had this issue?
there's a similar thread on CH or advrider but this should solve that issue http://destinationworld.be/tr650-terra-tank-breather-valve-removal/
Thank you for the info! Might have to look into making it bigger. My bike frequently ends up on its side.
