I repositioned my front brake hose and added a speed bleeder today on my Strada. After about 5,000 pumps, I've only gotten a few bubbles in the reservoir and the fluid level might have dropped 1/16". This is my first ABS equipped bike. There MUST be a trick/technique that I'm unaware of. Can anyone chime in?

Try loosening the speed bleeder a bit more, it should flow just fine after that. You might also have a faulty bleeder. In my experience the only time a speed bleeder behaves the way you describe is when it is just a little too tight to allow for flow.

Got it! I don't know if the speed bleeder was defective or if I didn't have it turned out enough. I reinstalled the stock bleeder and all went well. At some time in the future I'll try the speed bleeder again (too damn hot and humid right now). I really didn't know if the ABS plumbing would cause a problem. It seems like a standard bleeding technique works just fine.
