Hello, I used the Forum but its all about the rear brake. On my Terra the microswitch for the Front Brake is broken. Now the Problem, it is sold out. Does anybody have a idea to fix ist. Maybe a Part from annother Bike. Greetings Stefan from Germany
typically those microswitches are standard parts that can be sourced at electronic retailers or online. I could have bet that BMW uses the same parts on the G650GS and Sertao but the parts numbers don't match. Still worth to check if you could use BMW parts if you're willing to pay the inflated price.
That was my first try after i noticed that the original part is sold out. I imagined that there must be someone with the same problem. And maybe these someone had found a similar sparepart. In Gemany we have a proverb "You don`t have to new invent the wheel every time" So i have to look through the parts katalouges by myself.
the G650GS/Sertao switch looks suspiciously similar but the cable plug is different. TR650 BMW The switch is only a few Euro so if you can swap out that mounting plate...
