Since I love my 07 610TE and KTM is not bringing 690RR I think that I would want to build a fun Dakar 610. I'm not racing but I want a bike just a capable. So I have 07 610TE - uncorked with jet kit and LV - idle adjusting screw installed - clutch cable mod - pivot pegz - TrailTech dual Xeon lights with a separate switch - hand guards - LED Baja Designs rear fender - OEM rack - Skid plate - one down on the front sprocket - Better than OEM battery - wired for Garmin Zumo 550 - Dual rim locks on the back I need: - IMS tank - steering damper - raise my handlebar for 90% stand up riding - re-do my suspension - upgrade my stock seat What am I missing? I'm riding mostly desert multi day trips but come back each day to the camp.
re-enforce the rear subframe. A front fender Windscreen For a "real" dakar bike you need 200 mile range. I was recently told by a smart guy that means 200 miles of sand dune range, which is a bit more than you'd think.
Nope, that bike looks completely useless. It's practically a harley. You better send it to me and I'll 'fix' it and test it out for a few thousand miles...
Hey Huskyte610e, love your work. The beast looks like she is more than a showpiece, what do you ride her in?
