I'm Looking at buying a low milage 3,800 terra. It seemed to start up good from a cold. I sounded good. I rode it but just in the lot, seemed Ok. Although not sure it would pull front wheel unless I really cranked on it which I couldn't do with owner watching. The stalling issue/recall was fixed by dealer. Are there any other recalls? What should I be looking for? How hard are parts to find? Thanks in Advance!

    Congratulations, looks nice.

Check wheel and carrier bearings and replace if in doubt. Mine collapsed with under 2000 kilometres on the clock but others have had no problems with only regular maintenance. My bearing supplier told me some horror stories about manufacturers putting cheap bearings in high end equipment.

Can't comment on parts supply as I haven't needed any except for oil filters which are available from BMW. Search of ebay indicates no shortage of used parts.

How old are the tyres? If they are the originals, or over 5 years old, replace with a fresh set.

Thanks, I'll check the rear sproket carrier and any necessary maintenance. Tires are original and seem pretty hard. I plan on getting new ones soon.
I'm very pleased with it, got it at a great price and came with a Touratech box, full of goodies.
Wouldn't think it would need many hard parts, just wearables. Unless you crash it!

Nice Jim, yes tires would a bit stiff, you might blow a fork seal/shock seal with it sitting for so long. But no biggy
Replace brake and coolant fluids. (read up on coolant and purging) The only bearings i replaced in 85k Km was the steering head at 68K Km.
A lot of interchangeable parts with the bmw 650's, but no electronics and frame. Wheels and brakes on some models.
Some parts can hard to source, ebay part outs etc is good. If not you may have go here, https://shop.italhusky.com/en/products?_ga=2.77415632.438678221.1638278928-1627957851.1638278928
Important to know that the key, ignition, dash and ecu are all coded together. And are not interchangeable without recoding. (Not easily done) But I never had any issues with the electronics.
