My friend with his kid on the Cahuilla Vet track and with another guy from our crew (all Katos)
2x 2008 250XCFs 1x 50SX sen. His little guy is getting faster and faster/smoother everytime he gets on the bike.
Best secret for the 50SX senior, removing the OEM clutch and adding a Surflex clutch. The little bike is in full on hook up and screamer mode now.

Ok... Cahuilla has the best dirt out of any track in SoCal! Kid looks great!

Now I have to finish Logans KX 65 Resto!

What does the Surflex clutch do differently? Is it a better intro clutch to/for the little guys... my biggest fear is Logan is going to eat it several times learning the clutch....

    Tim,
I was referring to the KTM 50 centrifugal auto clutch Surflex replacement. The OEM clutch does work of course, but with the adjustments on the Surflex the little bikes rip. It makes a huge difference on those little auto clutch machines. As far as standard multi plate clutches its an OEM manufacturer source company they have their clutches in many EU bikes, cars and even farm equipment.

PS as you can see the "new" Cahuilla vet track is very basic and safe. On that day Massimo mentioned that on the main track there were a few rather fast MXers, Hughes,Patterson, Musquin,Decotis and others, so hopping out into that river was really not an option. Must've been great to watch though!! Jimmy D is very entertaining and kind of reminds me of Roczen (but not quite as fast), and of course Musquin is probably top 3 fastest 250f rider in the world today. Anyway finalize your date for the Cahuilla thing I will be there with all of my crew.
