I was in Camansi looking at the small MX track that was just constructed for the last fiesta and noticed a ~new foot bridge ... So I had to cross over it and see what was there ... And it turned into a cool ST ride to Mantija...A place I knew and I had even been on the north end of this ST and no clue to where it ended up at ...

Gotta have a disclaimer here again: It had come a small rain the night before and as one pic shows, my back tire was pretty toasted ... more details on it later ... This made the ride look much harder than it really was or should have been ...It was a climb about all the way to the top but was really about perfect on some scale ...

In any event, this is about how it goes when I'm finding new ST in my area... I ride and stop and look and get stuck and get much help from the locals ... They pretty much guide me ...

By setting such a low-bar on the riding scale on this attempt, it does make for a test case between the same 08 WR250 with a good tire and under drier conditions and same rider.... And maybe a test against a 010 TC250 ... The MX racer model with a too tall 1st gear for technical stuff...Timing of each pass is as easy as starting the helmet cam ...

Bluffs at the base of the bridge ...

The tire in question ... The size of the knobs would be enough for this ride but the front side of the knobs are all very rounded ... This is where a knobby knife can help ... Just adding a square edge to the leading side and it can help alot because as shown in the videos, traction was lacking to a high degree ...

This was the first sticking point ... I just have issues with these deep V crossings ...

Another shot of the bluffs as we start the climb up this mountain spur to Mantija...

This guy was out there spraying the trees ... These guys would get help if I needed anything ... And I was feeling like crap out there .. Age 55 seems to be step down yr for ST it seems ...

When I saw this area, I knew where I was at and a main road was only 100 yrds or so away ... yea I was ready for some easy riding to cool off...

Heres the video of the climbing up this small spur ... It really whipped me .. I need more ST riding it appears to build my stamina back up ..

Crossing the new bridge and up to the V-shaped, valley crossing

My crew was chopping this small area for me ... Then, when I attempt to continue up over that small hump, my front wheel caught something and I fell in that hole ... Hurt nothing but I felt bad over such a rookie fall over ...
