My son is having trouble twisting the throttle in a long MX race.
Is there an easy way to lighten up the resistance from the spring?

If its a fuel injected model just remove the return throttle cable. Much lighter.

Yes, try the G2 throttle tube and cam system. Very good kit and works VERY smoothly......they now have tubes that have a delrin insert which glides ridiculously easy on the bar. :applause:

I have done it on a carbied bike when the return cable broke. It took two weeks to get a replacement. I had two long rides without difficulty but believe it is a safety issue to disconnect.

I pulled my return cable off the throttle but didnt notice to much improvement. Most of the tension comes from the spring behind the cable cam on the throttle itself. Hmmm wonder if a coil or two were cut from the spring to lighten the pull a little would help? Anyone want to try it and report back? :-)

I have George's Uptite throttle tube. It's different in that it's smoother and the bike idles better and there's less felt vibration at the right bar.

I have the G2 tube with the delrin insert. I am just looking to ease the pull a little as I get severe arm pump in my right arm only. My old YZ had a much easier pull and hence less arm pump. The parts fische didnt show the spring as a part number, I will call Mikuni see what they say.

That is one nice thing about the new EFI bikes, the throttle pull is nice and light like a 2 st.

Did anyone try the chopping the spring on the CARB slider or find any other solutions here?
