The dealer I bought my Terra from lost Husky when Ktm bought them out. Well then Husky moved to the nearest Ktm dealer to me. I've emailed the owner of the dealership and he gave me good news. The dealership is in Halifax Nova Scotia and the name is Freedom cycle.

He told me that he definitely feels our pain and seems pretty sympathetic to us who were left in the dark by BMW.... He was in contact with husky and this was basically his response.

Ktm are working diligently trying to adapt their diagnostic computers to our bikes..(that's sounds to me that BMW said F#@k you old customers) he also said in the mean time if there is an issue to bring your bikes to his dealership and they will send the ecu, dash and other components to husky in California for them to reflash..... Of course on our dollar as all our warranty are expired........ It's good to know they are working on the issue and there is a intern solution.

Hi James, Thanks for the info, glad one dealer has stepped up. I tried my dealer in Danbury, CT, Motofit and got the cold shoulder, then tried Wagner's in MA, same deal, tried Quebec dealer and nada there too, so I may be up to visit your dealer in Halifax. Stock TR650 with uniflo filter, no problems other then the dash wrench shows telling me I need service. What service I need is unknown but I assume a valve check. Black tape or just don't look at the dash which is kind of hard to do and keep the speed limit. I'm close to Bar Harbor, Maine so it does not matter which way I go, prefer north rather then south. thanks

First off, Husqvarna does not exist any longer. I was at the KTM/Husky dealer and they had the Husky and KTM side by side and they are identical except for plastic. No shit, no more husky, they are rebadged KTM, probably made with parts from India (Bajaj Ind) the best I could tell.

I believe the GS911 is ready at this time. You will be money ahead to get one, good for 10 vin numbers, bmw or TR650. http://www.hexcode.co.za/products/gs-911/tr650-terra.

I have an email off to Zool to find out exactly which model to get and if we will get an extended update period being that the tool is not fully functioning for the TR650 (all features) at this time.

I believe it is working well enough to do the services and troubleshoot. I'm saving up for mine, about $350 depending on what model works with our bikes.

KTM cant and never will be able to adapt their diags to the Husky...sorry to burst everyones bubble. BMW hold the code and the dirty bastards wont let it go. The new Husky (Blue and White) Husky dealers, can get a new version of the MOSS which I think is a called "OSS" (Wayne C please comment) and this allows them to do diags and programming. Don't read anything into "programming" either, it's just loading the ECU MAP, coding the key to dash to ECU.....you cannot fiddle with the ECU MAP.

The problem with what you are going to do is they cannot calibrate the TPS and Idle Actuator to your bike because they don't have it. This is all part of the diags along with resetting the Adaptive Learning which they can do with your ECU (I think), and if they can this should make a big difference!....but remember on the first start up you must let bike idle until fan comes on.

Also they should be able to tell you the part for your current ECU MAP and they should load the new one which is #8543015 (there have only been three revisions to date).

Good luck, and if you want to do some of diags yourself, pm me.

When does the wrench light come on? I've got 10,800 km now.....so I guess just over 6000 miles and still no wrench.

My dash wrench came on at 7000 + - runs fine though other then an occasional stall. if KTM/Husky can't adapt there OSS because BMW has the code why is the GS911 able to? Will this ever be resolved to our satisfaction? I just want to ride this MC without the dark cloud hanging over it.

Actually it depends on what the dealer set it to on the last reset. The defaut is to set it to show up in 10000km or in 1 year (whichever comes first) but the dealer can (or at least could in the MOSS) set it to pretty much anything.

No no no, the new KTM dealers (blue & white) don't/cant to adapt anything. The have to become a new Husky (blue & white) dealer and KTM gets the OSS system from BMW as part of the sale deal.

GS-911 is not BMW, it works on diagnostics side, which were I believe most of our problems are with resetting adaptive learning values, TPS and Idle actuator, but it cannot do the programming side (MOSS and OSS have two sides).... match keys to ECU or dash, or load the ECU MAPs and GS-911 is not cheap to buy it.

So correct me if I'm wrong, if I use a GS911 it will only do diagnostics, remove wrench, and check engine light, to re-map, new key and all other errors I would need the Husky/KTM OSS tool and they remove the ECU and dash and send it to KTM headquarters in California. that sounds expensive, the GS911 is $350. and you DIY. BTW what is TPS thanks

Yep pretty much bang on:thumbsup: Get KTM to give you a quote first, it should be a bit less than a normal bike OSS session,.... a bit shorter in time but more of a fiddle with a wire harness etc maybe....???. You really need the latest ECU MAP too, which they can give you and if you get the GS you can do the rest.
