Can't push 390 CR backwards when engine running, in gear and clutch engaged.

She starts and goes, but went I stop, pull in the clutch and try to move the bike backwards, the rear wheel is firmly locked.

    Any ideas of the cause?

I am probably going to have to split the cases to change the LH crank seal anyway. I would like to put her back together without the fault in the gearbox.

look at the chain when trying to move backwards . that will tell you if it is wheel related or engine related . not just clutch drag is it ?

the kicker is 1spline too many forward? brakes arn't going "over centre" and locking the rearwheel?
