Just out riding with a friend and found this gnarly short uphill... I think it qualifies for a carabao hiway road number ... Below are pics and video of the actual beast moving goods up the hill with all 4s pulling... And I found out this guy is on a work schedule for moving these goods ... A few pics of the immediate area... Its a 08 WR250 world here now ... You can't really see it from here but it appears that there is a road under that white cliff in the background ... I'll have to try and find it someday .... Nice garden up here. The road with carabao sign and tracks ...
More tracks ... Another garden view. The dirt there looks very loamy ... These guys are heading back up the hill also .. The beast of burden ...
Newly found rider Rod and I attempted to find Balamban by crossing the mountain ranges in the center of Cebu, just north of the Transcentral Hiway ... We did not make it due to a small leak on the 08 WR250 from a crash I had last week at a small BRGY race and the weather was getting a little wet out there... Safety first and I do not like to push into unknown areas unless all is well ... Looks like we found those white bluffs mentioned in the top of this post and the first pic ... 010 TC250 and 08 WR250 -- Rod is a 2t guy so he rode the WR250. Looks like maybe a big rock slab broke off and wedged into the ground.. The trail (its a road really) is heading down into that valley just to the right of the stack of cement blocks. Three Amigo Bluff? --- Maybe Tres Amigo Bluff? -- Tres Hombres Bluff? would be a good name for this area ... A view of the valley & the weather was getting a little dark also about this time ... The road in the middle right of the pic connects to the hiway I think ... We'll have to return and verify
A look back south(?) and those clouds were black!.. Rod was taking all this in like a storm trooper This area was a few Ks back east of the white bluff area... You can really see the clouds rolling in with wind and a small amount of rain ... The clouds came right through us ...
That was corn ... Those guys were shucking corn! ... They took it all in stride as in most cases with the people here ... I'm not really sure why I missed that corner ... I've been down that road 2-3 times and right up to the moment I had to pick the bike up and go into 100% stop mode, I was ~about 100% sure I was gonna rail around the corner ... So the scary part was failing to read the road properly ... That's actually scary2x for me here in these mountainous areas ... The girl on right looks like she is enjoying sitting on the hill of corn
