Took my top end apart to inspect today becuase of lower compression. Noticed large amounts of carbon below the piston ring.

The brand of mix oil might have something to do with it.

Any sharp edges on the ring or an obvious wear point over the exhaust bridge? What is the end gap on the ring measure? These are the things that will determine if your ring is gunnybag.
