    Yes, it was a deep rain trench. Much bigger than it looked on vid. Luckily I landed in soft grass and, with the exception of two bruised and very sore thighs, I
    came out unscaved. Same thing happened a few years ago there on my 610 where I hit a ditch, flew over the bars and landed on hard dirt and separated my shoulder.
    I got lucky this time. Bike's ok too.

    Its hard to see what is going on most of the times on any video I watch. Seems like they all just turn out flat or 1 dimensional, no matter how clear the video. That grass looked as good a place as any crash. I always, always consider the land zone around when riding. Usually best to hit and roll to absorb the impact.
