After being told by a few key cutters at big box hardware stores that they didn't have blanks to match I stopped by a small local place yesterday to see if they could cut one since I'd broken one of mine. The guy took one look at it and said "it's a Swedish key for mid '90's Volvo" and he was right. It appears the blank code is "VL8". He couldn't quite understand why a wanted a key that wouldn't start the bike but I didn't give him the long story. Just figured I share.
