Having spent a very big weekend tidying up my 2009 TE310, we've done such a great job that the clutch & ignition covers now look pretty ordinary. Is there any way to brighten them up? Or am I am better off just to replace? If replacing, do I go Husky, or after market? Cheers,
Clay makes nice strong aftermarket covers and will ship Australia- http://7602racing.com/prod_scc_husky.php
cathim you can get that stuff from trooper lus or r&d husky syd give them a call thay will post or cod and will have all the bling covers in stock
Yep agree the 7602 stuff is great. As is their special one size fits all adaptors for your 3 oil outlets. I got mine from Trooper Lu's at point of bike purchase. Also must plug Stephan at R&D Husky they stock a lot of stuff and it gets to your address next day. IMHO Trooper Lu's and R&D are the best Husky people going around in NSW. By the way side covers can be restored. Not sure of the techniques employed.
Thanks everyone for the comments. 7602 certainly get a lot of positive feedback and they're a strong contender if I'm going to spend the money to replace them. Would love to know options for restoring the existing covers if there are any though as apart from the surface appearance they are not damaged in any way. So if anyone can give any insight ..... Have recently dealt with Stephan at R&D and was very impressed. Leaves my local Husky dealer for dead. Have heard good reports about Trooper Lu too so might have a chat to them both about the options too. Cheers, Cathi
You can polish them and insert colors. http://www.cafehusky.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2153&highlight=dartyppyt
Cathi, If you do decide to go with our (7602) covers. Here are two links for places in Australia where you can find them. Labeled as Dirtbike.com.au, but made by us. Same as our cover. http://dirtbike.com.au/index.php?option=com_virtuemart&page=shop.browse&category_id=234&Itemid=6 And of course Trooper Lu's is fast becoming a great place for husky stuff in OZ. http://trooperlu.com/
Wow, that Autosol is amazing!!! I think it'll make just about anything shine. Thanks for putting me on to it.
