My clutch does not engage after I've taken it of and back on again.
Now I have taken it of a 2nd. time. Looked for bad steel plates. Cleaned metal plates and friction plates, gently sanded metal plates a bit. Cleaned them again with compressed air.
    Assembled clutch again.

(I know my friction plates looks bad. I've not been able to get new ones. See my other thread for reason if interested)

Take a look at the video. And tell me if it moves enough. It has an aftermarket hydraulic clutch. But that should not matter? - As long as the plates disengage from each other?
    Any advice is appreciated.

    Hi Martin,

Have you been able to track down the person that has done all the modifications to the bike?

    Cheers, Dave.

so does the clutch slip ? ( as in bike wont drive forward) or drags ( cant select a gear with engine running )
i think its the first . the clutch rod through the cente is too tight . you have to adjust it loser as the clutch wears or it slips

I've ridden it today. It ride fine, pulls fine.

Sorry, maybe used engaging / disengaging of clutch wrongly. The clutch does not work. like nothing happens when i pull the lever. I can feel stuff happening when pulling lever. And hear clutch moving in the case. It just does no disengage.
When I rode it, I just changed gear gently, at the right rpm's. (Off cause did not ride that long.)

I think I need some new plates, both friction and steel. Have just had a real hard time getting them. Because the only Husqvarna dealer I know in Denmark. Said he had not seen my clutch before. So he said he could not help me. Will try to contact him again and say i have a 1987-1988 2 stroke hub. and need plates for that :)

    Thanks a TON Dave! :-)

I have tried contacting two telephone numbers which were on the old registration certificate. To ask the guy who had it some years ago if it was him who had done it. But no answer :-)

    Adjusting of clutch:
I dont know how I should do it. I've never had a hydralic clutch before.
My last bike the cable could be adjusted to places: At the handlebar. And down at the case. It does not look like i have those adjusting possibilities with the hydralic clutch :-)

have you tried bleeding the clutch ?

assuming its the correct master cylinder size for the slave cylinder .

one possibility is the hand lever is adjusted to be too far out so the piston in the master cylinder does not travel far enough back to uncover the hole to the reservior thus not grabbing all the fluid and not pushing the clutch far enough .

back the adjuster at the lever right off untill u know the piston is fully back

that clutch looks like it should disengage with that amount of movement . my cr500 has similar or less travel
