When I say cold I mean no colder then 30-40 deg here in AZ. What I am looking for is a glove that doesnt have a full fleece lining but has some wind protection like neoprene on the top side and a regular glove on the palm side. I dont like fleece between my palm and the grip.

    Thanks

I've had great luck running thin, knitted glove liners under my regular riding gloves. Yes, it's an extra layer under the palm, but it's so think that I don't even notice it. Combined with handguards, I have no problem riding in the low 30's.

Klim makes the inversion glove, it has windstopper and I like them a lot. I also have windstopper gloves from NorthFace, mountain hardwear and marmont anything with windstopper does great.

Fox Polarpaws, very nice down to those temps and don't restrict your fingers at all. I am sure other companies make similar gloves but I like the fit of these. I never see them on sale and they are usually around $40..I have looked for the Thermalpaws but I don't know if they still make them..they are not on the Fox Company site anymore..

I just bought a pair of Neoprene hunters gloves a few weeks back, on cold ride home from work around 11:15 PM, they were fine for about 20 miles of highway speeds, about then, my pinky started going numb, at the 28 mile mark, all fingers except for my trigger fingers were numb. This was at 60 to 70 MPH speeds. Not great, but also not near as bulky as tradition ski gloves, gave good feel & only $20.00
Ride home temp was 33 degrees
Heated handgrips will be my next purchase

Rereading my post sober, it doesn't look like much of an endorsement

lemme add to it :D, in 81 I had a bad ski accident & by the time they found me, I had some frost bite, so my hands are very sensitive to cold temps,

Regular moto gloves on the same ride at 49 degrees had my hands so numb I had to go inside & wait 15 minutes before I could take my helmet off, quality ski gloves at about 33 degree's had my hands painfully numb by the end of the ride, these neoprene hunting gloves have a rubber palm & don't feel at all awkward like ski gloves or the mitts I tried once, just once

Acerbis has exactly what you are looking for. Neoprene backside with a clarino leather underside. I don't remember the exact model name but I have a pair and they are quite warm.

If the gloves you purchase still need a little more warmth try using winter silks.

They are super thin so you can use the same size glove.

They also make shirts and pants to go under your gear.

I hate bulky stuff and my wife turned me on to these and i love them.

They also come in differant thicknesses, cool stuff or should i say hot stuff, no warm stuff i dont like being hot but i do feel cool wearing them.

I'm a fan of the Thor WindChill glove. Padded Clarino palm like normal gloves, neoprene top, rubberized finger tips (2) and thumb patch. They could be a little warmer, but they don't slide around like alot of cold weather gloves (MSR comes to mind) and they work great behind a set of handguards.

I bought some Thor cold weather Gloves last year.

They're OK but on real cold days your hands still get a little stiff.

The longer material around the wrist is good and protects well.

I am a fan of the Semtec grip warmers because they have a high/low setting without using a resistor. The last set I put on are snowmobile heaters (P/N210007) and aren't supposed to be used on bikes, because if left on could melt the thorttle plastic, but they work great. BMP has been selling them for a while with no problems.

I don't mean to hijack this thread but with warmers, glove selection is not much of an issue.

We have some Tourmaster gear and it's great for DS'ing. Polar-Tex gloves are pretty darn good. Not as big and bulky as ski gloves but more warmth then any dirt gloves I have tried. You can grasps the controls fine with them. We wear them in the dirt all the time when it's cold. The silk liners are a cheep extra bit of warmth to. We wore them for almost 200 miles of pavement in the rain (on the DRZ's). Sure the shell of the glove was soaked but our hands were dry.

Alpinestars "Drystars" are my cold weather glove of choice, and of course some hand guards to block the wind.
