Hi, a lot of threads are about the ratchet tensioner, I have this type of tensioner; and was wondering if it was possible to simply convert it to a manual tensioner rather than buying one for £50. There is not a lot to it: In fact it is manually adjustable as I adjusted it slightly before but the folks at advrider seemed to think I needed to buy a manual one. I am just confused as to why manually adjusting this tensioner would be a bad idea.
