looks more like a good idea for downhill mtb'ers, all the downhill fun with none of the pedalling back up the hill

Could be a reference to tires, I run DH 2.3's on my mountain bike. (2.3's being tire width)
    (Panaracer FireDHPro)
Funny thing was when I ordered them I coulda sworn they said $16.95 when I got there it $69.95 each

Ya, I had to buy a 2.4 in a shop one time for my dh bike. I was in a pinch and didn't have time to shop around. Mine was about 70 bucks too. I totaly felt taken advantage of that day. :foul:

Did it come in a box folded flat as a pancake?? It looked like an inner tube container, the Panaracer's are Kevlar.

Guess thats the price we pay for quality Mountain bike parts. Some times I miss them old CCM days when the whole bike was $99.95 :D

No, it came like a moto tire does. it was an Intense sticky rubber tire. Ya, in the good ol days, I bought my first mtn bike for 300 dollars. and it was on the top side of the scale.
