I might be able to get a 2009 WR125, What are the differences between a CR and WR? Is it simply suspension differences, or are there ignition and timing differences too?

I want someting that resembles a 125 motocross bike - I don't want it 'tamed down' will the WR be 'tamed down?'

Look for something else, like a CR unless you get a great deal on the WR. It will take a lot of money to get the WR moto ready.

My stock 2013 wr 125 ran pretty good to me on my mx track. I was impressed for a offroad bike the suspension is softer and flywheel weight makes it less snappy than cr but for most C and B riders still fun. If your A rider it would be slow. Felt really good on braking bumps and ruts with softer suspensions I was doing all the jumps I do on my ktm 250sx.
