    Hello All !!!

I'm possibly looking at getting some billet clutch and flywheel covers made up due to not being able to find anybody that has them already made over the counter so to speak. Would anybody be interested ? I am not trying to get anybodies hopes up over it. Just posting to see if there would be any demand for them.

    Cheers !!

Troy I have checked their website. They only list them for the 250/300 not the 125/150.

I made a post about a month ago on this very topic. I have a CNC program made for the ignition cover, I just have to make the first one and test it out. Not sure if this helps but I will post some pics when I have the first prototype machined.

At long last I finally have an ignition cover that is hot of the CNC mill. Its going on the bike later this week. I will post some pictures shortly. I'm just now getting to the clutch cover so I should have them available as well...soon.

If anyone wants more info or is interested in getting one just PM me and I can give some more details.

I know that I am replying to an old thread, but 7602 racing does have covers for the 250/300 bikes. It might be a newer product than this thread, I am not sure. In any case, if people are looking for them:

I have a bunch of pieces/projects onthe go, so I just put the "R" on there to tell which bike it's for. I might go with the "rrracey" explanation in the future though :)

I'm interested in a set, have you thought about anodizing them red? All of the bling on my bike is red. I know most guys like the red as noted by BMP doing a run of red case savers recently due to members here asking.

Offroad with the example shown being a prototype will the finished production products have a better finish?

Do you have access to someone who can hard anodize in black? I would like red, but from experience normal red anodizing fades and wears thin quickly. Hence why I would possibly prefer hard anodized black.

I was also thinking a laser etched logo would look good if anodized.

Sorry not trying to be picky ;)

The part in the picture is pretty much fresh off the machine. I need to make a few tweaks here and there to get the "off machine" quality where I want it to be. Anodizing isn't an issue. I'm not sure of color availability but standard black, blue, yellow and red anodizing just treats the presentation of the surface layer of the material. Hard anodizing is a bit of a different process but does give a tougher, more durable surface finish that is desirable on high wear parts.

I am going to start on the clutch side as soon as I get the ignition cover where I want it. I started the project out of necessity for the most part. My son broke his ignition cover and after not being able to find any aftermarket part availability it seemed like a good idea to make one. Now that KTM has changed everything over it might be hard to find any parts, let alone aftermarket pieces. I hope it doesn't get as bad as it was in 1988/89 for availability. That being said, if anyone has any suggestions for other parts that are hard to find, let me know. Maybe I can whip something up.

Not sure as far as pricing goes yet because I didn't know if anyone would be interested in buying but I'm thinking that somewhere around $100 to $120 would be in the ballpark.

Don't worry about being picky 72racerx...picky is how parts get from mediocre to exceptional:cheers:

You're right about the colored anodizing just being a surface treatment, the hard anodizing in black would be preferable for the durability factor. There are some other colors of hard anodizing used in the firearms industry, different grays, titanium, etc. Count me in for a set as long as you stay somewhat conservative on the laser etching, like the pattern on the stock covers for example.

Any progress on this? My brake lever put a dent/puncture in my clutch cover and I'd like to replace it. Can't find any aftermarket options.
