They are phenominal IMO! The fork was the weak link. I'm interested in finding one, too. They hold a lot of sentimental value for me. I really liked the 01-04 series frames.

If you don't mind me asking, Jake, is this search Scalvini pipe related?

Damn, back in 2002 I bought a 2002 KX 125, I wish there was a Husky dealer nearby, I would have bought the CR250 instead!

I had a new one in 2002. Wicked fast. Way faster than the pilot.

I have a street plated 2002 cr250 ...it has now been wr'ized with lights and other goodies. Not two weeks ago, there was a 2002 cr250 advertised not far from me for 2500.00. I checked tonight and the ad is gone.

I wanted to buy one, but ended up buying '02 Honda CR250 instead. Knowing what I know now, I wish I had bought it. I'd still like to have one.

Since the parts are still interchangeable with the current WR, I should just start buying up 2002 CR250 parts as I find them.

I had a 2000 and a 2001 and the 01 handled better. Same head angle but the headtube was welded on the frame 12mm higher. For me it was a big difference, I would go '01 or '02 but I'd skip on '00, personally.

That's my parts bike and I thought it was an '03. Guess it must be an '02, I should verify the VIN. Parts have started moving so it's getting less and less complete.

You're prob right. Did it get a V-force reedblock? I didn't own one. Either way you're stuck with the 45 shiver fork which is ok by vintage standards but a nice set of ohlins or a new-gen tripleclamp setup with the stock KYB48s or even a set of showa kit forks would make this bike a real ego-smashing sleeper!!! I've decided I need one. Shoulda KEPT MY '01:banghead:

Yes it did. The forks are the only bad part about the older Husky's, but like you said, there are all sorts of swap options now.
