The current Cyclenews has a test of the TC250. I have always thought them to be much better than Dirt Bike or Dirt Rider when it comes to tests.

Like everyone else, they love the handling and light weight but say it is down on power. They close the article by saying the bike is only an aftermarket exhaust away from being excellent.

    I still hope to get a 2010 TE250 soon.

I keep waiting for more definitive news about how the Jardines are performing on the ZipTy bikes. I don't need the power cuz I'm a wimpy old guy who'll never ride it to its potential, but it would be nice to see the rag writers give Husky a 100% positive write-up.

Word is the Jardine makes a nice 2-3 HP across the board. The Devil makes a bunch more top maybe at the expense of the bottom. Everyone i speak to that is in the know says the exhaust is capping the power for sure. My TXC makes a LOT more with the SA out and EFI tuned accordingly so I'm assuming they are right.

BTW for the trails i ride the "softer" power with the SA in is actually EZer to ride smooth / fast with. The "bark' with it out is very fun though. :D

It should be noted that the Jap bikes the mags test are a good 4-8 DB louder than the TC. If the TC came with a 6 db louder pipe i bet the HP figures would be much more in line.

I think you are dead on the money K. I think for my riding style and if I had a TC250 I would perfer the 2-3 hp across the range over more top end. I can't ride the bike at the top very long but it sure is fun getting there. Is the Jardine a full system or just a slip on?

According to their website their latest issue now has a 250f mx shootout. Mine hasn't arrived yet so I don't know where the Husky landed.
