I was with D38 last season. Gonna join this year and hope to make it to more races - only made it to a couple of races last year (did some WORCS, a Hare Scramble and showed up at a Get-X-Treme event but didn't race).

Daygo, did you join up? Troy Pierce is da man for the senior guys. He's also a fellow Ramona High School Alumn which makes him pretty cool.

BTW, that's a pretty good tilt. 100 miles total. I think the TE will handle it w/ease.

Yes I completed my D38 racing application with Troy. Plate #88S. I checked my time at the Christmas Classic and I finished mid pack throughout the classes. I figured if I hadn't followed a group off track on the first lap and gotten stuck in a bottle neck caused by a rider who stalled in the group in front of me my time would have been in the top three. I got hooked up with the folks at OTB so I have a club to participate with, who happen to be sponsoring this race too. Hope to see you out there.

Gonna try to make it. I missed it last year - was out in Little Creek, VA.

You guys have a fun and safe race! Hats off to OTB for putting on the event. This is an AMA D-38 sanctioned Dez race correct?

" I finished mid pack throughout the classes"
Keyword is FINISHED, and my mantra of "participate dont spectate". Thats what its all about, oh yea next time look way ahead for the ribbon!! Be safe out there!!

Yes it's a sanctioned AMA D-38 event. (4) 25 mile lap hare scramble.
Thanks for the advice I'll definitely be pacing myself. I love riding superstition area!

If a National H&H is brought back south to the D38 zone I'll be back out there pending the correct bike for the task. You guys have fun it's just not my cup of racing tea, hope you guys get a good turnout!

Not enough triple jumps and table tops for Rob to through whips and scrubs over. :D

The area doesn't have much of a variation in terms of technical spots - that's for sure. It's kind of wide-open in a lot of areas which makes it fast.

LR has gone out for a few. Enters every class and wins them all at the same time (ha, ha).

I think the last time their was a national out there was 2011.

I did 2 out there but happily missed the mudfest that happened for one of the nats, they always use the tough stuff for the L2 sections, ask Spaugh he did them as well. The first year I did that hill clean, the second year I did it there were guys on the hill and I blew it and went around the bailout loop. Heat was big factor for me, I sat in that ugly canyon trying to cool off.
