• Hi everyone,

As you all know, Coffee (Dean) passed away a couple of years ago. I am Dean's ex-wife's husband and happen to have spent my career in tech. Over the years, I occasionally helped Dean with various tech issues.

When he passed, I worked with his kids to gather the necessary credentials to keep this site running. Since then (and for however long they worked with Coffee), Woodschick and Dirtdame have been maintaining the site and covering the costs. Without their hard work and financial support, CafeHusky would have been lost.

Over the past couple of weeks, I’ve been working to migrate the site to a free cloud compute instance so that Woodschick and Dirtdame no longer have to fund it. At the same time, I’ve updated the site to a current version of XenForo (the discussion software it runs on). The previous version was outdated and no longer supported.

Unfortunately, the new software version doesn’t support importing the old site’s styles, so for now, you’ll see the XenForo default style. This may change over time.

Coffee didn’t document the work he did on the site, so I’ve been digging through the old setup to understand how everything was running. There may still be things I’ve missed. One known issue is that email functionality is not yet working on the new site, but I hope to resolve this over time.

Thanks for your patience and support!

Daytona SX****************************************! No spoiler

The creme rose to the top last night, Villo, Dungey, and Chad Reed was tough as always. Dungey still can't get a start, there was a stat he has passed more riders than anyone this year. Milsaps looks to be running out of gas, but it could be injuries. Kind of funny to hear RC dogging on his rider(TIckle) for slacking off!
Whats up with dean Wilson? Most of us thought he was going to make a mess of the 250's. I think the conditions favored Musquin some, much like some of the tracks in Europe, not to mention the cannon shot start. W. Hahn is looking strong, but of course he has been in the class for a long time it seems.

Milsaps rode like he had an injury, which it seems he did.

Wilson was slated for the 450 class with Jeff Ward Racing but that fell through it seems.

Maybe his shoulder injury is not fully healed. He dropped back like injured riders do as the race goes on.

I'll be checking this one out on line for sure ...

The whole thing was interesting. Don't cheat and just watch the main events :).
I just learned that all I needed was and a HDMI cable from my laptop to my tv to watch it whenever I want to. Need the big screen lol. I'm never staying up until 1 in the morning ever again lol

One of our local kids, Weston Peick, was mucking it up with Bobby Kiniry for the last LCQ spot in the 450 class. Ya, it was just the LCQ, but what a battle!!!

That was a crazy finish for sure, the crowd went absolutely nuts. IMO since it was soooo close they should have fielded 21 riders for the final.......
Would loved to have been there!

Kind of cruddy that Kiniry didn't advance - what a show though. But, given Peick is a local kid (Wildomar, CA), I gotta pull for him.

That LCQ, and only THAT LCQ, would be cause for 21 riders.

transponders dont lie
But for some strange reason the AMA says that the 'real' finish line is where the judge is on top of the jump, not 2 feet back where the transponder pickup is located. In other words, they didnt ask the transponder for the answer, they asked some dude standing there....

I can see the point of having manual backup, but putting it (him) in a different location is bound to lead to this sort of disparity occasionally.
