I got my 09 TXC 510 from Central Jersey Cycles and on the sale they were great. I hear they have a very good mechanic and a track in the rear for "testing".

To start it all off I picked up the bike and it had a terrible headshake and would stall everytime you came to a stop.Brought back to dealer and bead was not correctly seated, no big deal after tweaking the suspension a lil it helped also. They told me in order to fix engine problem I had to have power up kit installed but they did not have one and it was on back order. So found another dealer and had power kit installed for $600. After picking up bike noticed that kickstand now hits pipe and it had a dent in it, confronted dealer and he said he would order me a new one. Before I even left dealership bike had to be jump started because they left key on. On way home speedometer stopped working and all the lights were blinking so I came home put bike on charge. After that bike held charge for a day or two then was dead again. So I spoke with a customer service rep from bmw and he told me take it back to dealer and they would do whatever to make me happy. Brought back to dealer and they installed a new battery and a new speedo but gave me a used pipe and a kickstand off another bike they had traded in. Not in a million years would I think anyone would have the balls to do this. I have owned numerous new jap bikes and have never had anything like this happen to me. So I took bike from dealer took it for a ride and now throttle sticks wide open. I have been trying to contact my customer service rep. I am just fed up any suggestions???

Please try to put yourself in my shoes spend big money on a new bike. Have alot of problems and bring it to dealer and they put used parts on it not a way to do good business. I understand its not where I bought bike but my hondas and yamahas I brought to any dealer and never had a problem. Husqvarna has to address problems like this and have more reputable dealers and service keep in mind this bke has under 300 miles.....

Ya know, I feel for this guy. He reminds me of my recent Honda purchase disaster last year which sent me to the Honda forums screaming, with my hair on fire, condemning the Honda brand as though it were spawned from Satan.

Alas, internet forums attract the minority of folks who experience problems with any brand. In fact, the forums attract dissatisfied folks like flies on dog $hit. I know this, because I've been one of those "dissatisfied folks" and I've been to the Honda forums, and if you check the Honda forums I've been to... you'll see my post count at 3 or 4.

    Just sayin'....

I hear what you are saying as I've been in poor support situations with other brands but so far I have had good luck with my Husky. BlipBlip listed 3 reputable dealers in NJ so maybe try giving one of them a call. I bought my bike from Cross Country and would not hesitate to recommend them. Also, there is a ton of good information in these forums that may help you as well. Good luck and let us know how you make out.

I know all three dealers and they're all really good people.

From the sound of things it sounds like the dealer was trying to get you back out on the trail fast so you could enjoy your new bike.

Also when I buy a bike I pretty much go over it with the dealer before I leave so that everything is up to my satisfaction and when I get it home I pull everything off and go over it again to familiarize myself with the bike and to see if the dealer might have missed something.... the last thing I want is to have a problem 40 miles from a paved road or from where I'm parked my transporter.

Maybe the Husqvarna wasn't the right choice and you would have been happier with something like this: http://powersports.honda.com/2009/crf230l.aspx

    Just a thought.

Well when you go to a dealer that has no salesman, no customer service, and no one you can speak with but just a mechanic who was only doing what he is told. Its kind hard to complain. I'm not going to take it out on a kid just doing his job.. If I was told that he was just throwing bike together to get me back out and he was ordering everything new I would have been more than happy. But there was to be a new pipe ordered 3 weeks ago when the initial one was damaged from a factory defect and that did not happen so thats hard to believe. I no $600 for a used pipe is a great deal.... And with all the problems I should be happy JUST A THOUGHT.....

You have legitimate issues. I would not be happy either.

If you want to start a thread in the feedback forum eventually someone will see what you typed. Besides a few people that work for Husqvarna I'm the only one that can see threads in that forum that others start.

If you want to work through this eventually you should get all the proper parts and get the bike running decent. Remember that it takes an iBeat to tune that bike, if that is needed for your bike. iBeat is not cheap and you will probably want a dealer to do that i.e. try not to burn any bridges with dealers.

I bought my Husky from Town and country. I have had no issues with them. My fellow riders have bought Gas Gas and KTM's there and I have not heard anyone complain.

Hey makes me feel a lil better someone is on my side. I'm going to work through this, besides all this its an awesome bike when its up and running. I really dont want to sell it. After picking the bike up and the throttle getting stuck wide open it just really sent me in a frenzy on top of all the other things that happened. I'm going to take your advice and I'm definately not going back to that dealer ....

I bought a left over 08 from Cross Country, sale manager was very helpful. Matched a deal from a dealer out west that I was going to buy from. Clean, professional, multi franchise buiness, co owned by Honda Powerhouse on Route 27. When you deal with a reputable shop you get great service and people who stand behind what they sell. They add a great value to the ownership experiance.

The guy you brought your bike to for service should not be a dealer. He seems very unprofessional and his business practices are shady at best.

First of all $600 for a power up kit is a rip off. Two, he should be ashamed of himself for not having a capable and responsable person there to speak with you when you picked you bike up. Three, he should be crapping his pants if someone from Husky reads your post. If I rode out of his shop and my throttle stuck due to improper re-assembly, got hurt due to his negligence, I'd sue his ass out of business. You didn't get hurt so he's lucky. Four, putting used parts on your bike? After paying $600 for your p.u.k.? I'd beat his ass with his used pipe. He needs to get you a new pipe to replace what he damaged. He is responsable for checking clearnaces and proper fitment before letting you take the bike home, meaning if your stand dented it, he didn't put the right pipe on it or screwed something else up. Tons of people have the p.u.k pipe and have no dents/damage. Did the guy damage it during a test ride?

I degress, people like that just burn my ass... I love my bike by the way, everyone who sees it thinks it's fantastic to see a mx bike with blinkers on the road. I'm sorry your having some issues with yours. Hopefully you find resolution to your issues. Rat this dealer out to Husky corp. They are a reflection of their dealer base, if dealers like this are allowed to sell their bikes they need to rethink who should and should not represent them.

Lol, I forgot about the jumpstart things, holy crap... if I went to a delaer to pick my bike up after having it service "600" p.u.k. and he killed my battery, I'd hook the jumper cables to his nuts...

Let's not get carried away... it could be an excellent dealer that has issues at the moment. Medical, family, business, dog, automotive, whatever.

Actually $600 might be about right if the PU parts needed to be ordered separately because the actual kit was not stocked any more.

Coffee, I hear what your saying but come on. A dealer? A real motorcycle dealer should have plenty of staff and resources to handle all kinds of issues at once. They are a business, not a guy working out of his garage selling cheap knock off parts.

I got my puk barley used online for $180 shipped to my door. Installed myself, bike runs great... $600 for a slip on, and o2 plug is a rip off... I've owend many dirt bikes and atv's in my life and have never paid that kind of money for a slip on, not a full, but slip on pipe. you can get a slip for any common jap bike 200-300 dollars brand new.
