I bought a damper for my 450 from Kelly at Motorsports. I admit to being a bit unsure when fitting it but after getting in touch, Kelly guided me through what was a very easy install - when you read the instruction (by the way the instructions are very clear and I did read them again). Now, 6 months later and after I abused the kit when riding in Morroco I sent the kit back for a tidy up and refurbishment. I had considered this a commercial transaction as I had used it, worn some of the parts and had asked it they would refurbish. What happened was that Kelly kept in touch and kept me abreast of what was going on, refurbished the kit, sent it back AND send me a few spare bits to keep me going. What people should reaslise is that I'm about 4500 miles from the shop (Kelly realises this hence the spare bits) and he takes care of his business and customer (me) as though I was in the shop with him. His website claim of no BS really is true. Dealers out there that support our brand may want to look to Kelly and Motorsportz as the example of dealer/retailer service provision and aspire to that level of customer satifaction. A note to riders:- The Motorsportz damper is a thing of beauty and joy to behold - and it works!! This is somebody that cares about his business, his brand, his reputation but most of all his cutomers - the rest of the industry take note.
It is exactly this sort of thing that keeps someone on my 'do business with' list... and inversely puts so many dealers and suppliers on my 'never again' list. In general I note that the Kudos section is full of these stories ..not a lot of talk about how pretty the showroom is or isnt.
