I still havent totally made up my mind on going small or going 250/300....

I have found a couple TC250s for pretty cheap....

So my question is..... What is the difference between the TC and TE line....

Then I will make my choice between that and the TE125 with a 200 motor....

and yes I am a bigger guy but like smaller bikes.... Nothing like passing a 450 on a 125... lol

Tc 250-smaller tank, 19in rear wheel instead of 18in, 5 spd close ratio transmission insteap of 6 spd wide ratio, no stator for lights, no e start.

Ive read a lit where guys just throw a tc250 top end on the te to give it more power. I would say the biggest drawback to a tc is the transmission. Power wise it may need tamed some with a flywheel weight

I agree with landofmotards. I have a 14 tc250 and it's an amazing bike. I ride everything from track, trail, and desert and it does everything well. It is a handful on tight technical trails.

I think the only downfall to the TE would be track riding. And it costs about $1200 more

Worry if you can get a new stator for lights....

They're both 4cs but obviously there are differences mx/enduro. If you pick up a 2014 tc it has the cc forks while the te's still had 4cs

TC head would be a common mod on TE, but you don't need the cylinder and piston...

The tranny doesnt bother me and the forks are a wash.... the tank and the lights are only down side.... may still just stick with first choice.... tiddler with a 200 engine

Doesn't the 125 have 4cs forks too? Go for it if you want the 125. I'm sure it's an awesome bike. 3 great choices and i can see where its hard to pick one. Just buy a leftover tc250 and a slightly used italian husky 125 :)

The husky power kit for tc and te have different numbers....

I actually thought of a 14 tc250 and a red 150.... who knows what ll happen when I get to gp cycles

When you say "Husky Power Kit", do you mean the 300 kits? I'll assume you do.... difference between TC and TE kits are, the CDI and the head, not the cylinders.

What no one mentions is the electric start and ten pounds for that and the side stand. Te probably I heard is 17,or so pounds heavier then a tc. I bought a 15 but had halls had a 14,for 6k I would have bought that. The 15,looks a little more refined then the 14. Yea u save a grand but it is a year older to start with.... Cc forks may be better or worse who knows. Te tank is very reasonable price wise and clear instead of black. For me the tc was and easy choice and the 1200,less wll take care of some stuff for sure. Some guys can't live without estart . I say phouy. Its a two stroke and the ten pounds is not worth it to me not at 50,years old. I'll consider it as a trail rider or 60. Whichever comes first! Yea tough to pay top $$$$ for a 125 then change the engine. Simple solution to that buy two red 144"s for the same money and don't look back....

Ok.... Dumb question..... I've rode 4cs bikes .....

What is the actual difference in the CC forks and the 4cs forks?

Really familiar with revalving Open and Closed Cartidge forks just not sure of the 4cs.....

    I'm seriously considering a 14 or 15 TC250....

I'm also a fan of the lighter weight.... and Estart is not neccessary for me yet....

    $5700 for tc250 and 7500 for te125 and 8500 for te250

I don't think the issue is weight considering what just a few mods can save you, not to mention the things you can get rid of to save weight. The deciding factor would be transmission. The magic button means the world to me lol. I hope the tc is as easy to kick as they say but I'm reluctant to get a kick only. It seems the only guys i ever get a chance to pass during a race are the one's desperately kicking their bikes on the side of the course :)
