What should I expect to have when dirty muddy water goes in the exhaust when my 2008 TE250 is not running? Drop the bike in a puddle for about 5-10 seconds, ran good after all was dry. Should I have top end concerns? Don't see any milky oil thru the eye glass.

I understand the bike was not running when she fell into water. If that is the case it should be ok. I would as a matter of course change the oil and oil filter, give her a good run and inspect.

She went in running and was shut off. Oil and filter will be changed as well as the air filter.

I shut down so I would not suck water in the airbox, now water went into the exhaust. Would it have been better to keep her running as I uprighted the bike??

No!...do not keep it running under water!

    You did good grasshopper!

If there is no milkshake in the oil and the bike started right up, you're good.

Change the oil anyway and take a look at the airfilter to see if it was soaked.

One little puddle = broken mirror, broken headlight bulb, burnt finger (blowing out connectors), reduce riding time and my 73yr father yelling at me to move so he can get thru!
