About 2 hours old but seems like our heros at KTM are having a blow out sale on everything Husky including TR's. Some incredibly deep cuts on dirt bikes, not so much on TR's. Stay tuned for news
Holy cow guys, Not fear mongering, just a heads up/FYI to anyone looking for a Husky. My source is not available now, and no, I don't have a link. I just thought I would give anyone a heads up on what is happening. I am hearing numbers like 3100 for 125's and mid 4's for TE 449/511's. New 310's for 4k. This is just a few hours old and wanted to post as soon as I heard it. IT IS a reliable source, trust me. Check with your dealers on the left coast, they are still open and should be able to confirm. Just passing on what I just heard. If you all would rather, I will keep these things to myself....only trying to help the community as a whole. Bitch of it is, smoking deals but killing used bike market instantly. And no, I am not Fox news but would be my choice for sure....:-)
Wow! Well, I hope they are not just liquidating the brand. I appreciate the heads up Toyboy, I just wanted to see all the details, especially on the accessories. The TR650 is still my first choice of a bike right now, hopefully we will have parts availability for a few years regardless. Had to make a call, looks like $1000 off the Strada and $800 off Terra--looks like a call into Eurosport is needed. Dealer says it's just a sale, not a liquidation.... we shall see.
I think you might be referring to a sale that was posted here a while back. Not KTM but a dealer and the prices are kinda misleading. If it is the same thing i am thinking about.
Thanks for the support Next. I PROMISE I can post info in the AM EST time. I may be wrong Kelly but don't think it is same thing. Again, was shocked to hear and thought I would post.
I called a dealer in Victorville California and spoke to a salesman who stated that the Terra was currently discounted $800 by Husky, and the Strada was discounted $1000! I saw the post and made a call to a random dealer to confirm the exact discount, and they did so. Anybody on here can do the same for their specific model. I also sent an email to my local dealer to confirm this price, I will know for sure tomorrow. Thank you Toyboy, it looks like you saved me a couple of bucks. The Strada at $6500 is a steal. I for one appreciate the post!
I paid $6499+ tax. no doc or setup fees for a Terra on the first day of spring, maybe I should have waited!
FYI--Just got an email from my local dealer, good guys. The owner says he is not aware of any discount from Husky but will check in the morning to confirm. Looks like you folks will have to wait until the am for the final word on this. My hope is that A: the discount is real, and B: my dealer will give me the deal despite my deposit. I will post as soon as I hear on this.
Don't get too excited over a sale. In Australia there has been a $500 cashback on every new Husqvarna bike for most of our summer (the deal just ended last week). I imagine this is just the same thing up in your hemisphere, trying to move some stock off the shop floors.
Thanks for following up. For what it is worth, I can tell you that the dealer's invoice has been reduced even for vehicles that they have sitting on the floor so he would have to pass along the discount. All you would need to do is get a few other quotes and i am sure if he is a good guy, he will do you right.
I have been vindicated. Thank you. I know my source is trust worthy and I sure would not dream of posting here if not reliable. I am going to pursue and get more details, more for personal reasons, ie, adding a TE511 to my stable or something like that. I do realize that some of this is privileged info and people's livelihoods are at stake here in the way of dealers. What i can say at the moment as I understand it, is that fortunately, the dealers are covered in that they will not get "stuck" with a machine they got a month ago at the old price and now can sell a newly floor planned bike at the new price. I think that was the right approach on KTM's part. Very important aspect. We need to continue to support our local dealers. We need them....a lot. Sadly, as consumers, those of us that paid retail or close to it etc are "hosed" but no one had a crystal ball. Stuff happens. At least some of us will benefit from the new pricing. Imagine having bought a bike last week and then this. Now that would suck. I also have 2 later model Husky's, 2012 TXC 310 and a 2011 TXC 250 that are temporarily worth a heck of a lot less til all these blow out bikes are gone. Not much we can do except roll with it and take advantage of it if you are financially able.
This is what I just received... Don't know how true it is either. Husky will put $2500 rebates on everything but the 650s. Which will get a $1000 rebate. Kinda tells ya how much profit are in these bike from the factory.
