Does anyone have an online source for the dual map switch? Looking to put one on my 09TE 310. Like to leave Map 1 on the stock settings and use Map 2 as my testing ground for comparison! Thanks!

Or better yet, can someone just explain what the switch does,
then we could use any switch.
The switch just connects 2 wire together or grounds a wire.
    anyone ?

I ordered my dual map switch (2009 TE 310) from Hall's. Came very fast. Easy to install. The second map makes power in a much more sublte way. Great for greasy, sloppy, mossy river rocks, etc. It was cheap too.

Have used it only once. Not much wet where I ride. Nice to have though.

Super, I'll give them a call Monday. My hope is, and someone please let me know if I'm off base here, I'm going to be able to keep Map 1 stock, and use Map 2 for making changes with the iBeat software and the good old fashioned "butt dyno" (test riding).

I haven't actually tried switching between modes when connected to the ibeat but I'm pretty sure you can't do what you are suggesting.

I believe the dual mode switch primarily alters the ignition advance to soften the power delivery rather than altering the fueling.

If you want me to 'try before you buy' I can but it won't be until Tuesday - let me know!

Yes it just alters the ignition curve, no fuel changes.

REALLY appreciate that offer, but I was able to confirm what ya'll are sayin about the ignition curve so I guess it's a mute point in regard to what I was "hoping" for! Got some FANTASTIC information about what I can do with the iBeat from a gentalmen on here who is clearly an expert in all things EFI so I'm off the dual switch idea, at least for now! Thanks again guys.
